Afib first timer
Well, last Friday evening I apparently came a member of the afib club. Spent the night in the hospital and after several hours they were able to get my heart back into sinus rhythm. Here's the scenario. Went for an early dinner with my wife, had 2 drinks (tequila & soda) lamb burger with spicy feta spread (usually stay away from spicy food especially at night do to GERD) with a side of truffle fries. Got home, felt off and had this terrible sensation in chest up into throat. Apple watch said I was in afib. So I'll be seeing a cardiologist tomorrow, my question is this, I've been doing a little googling and I know alcohol can trigger afib as well as sodium (fries) also, the burger had a feta spread and I'm reading that feta contains Tyramine which also can trigger an afib episode. So, could this have been just a one and done because of what I ate? Or once you have afib, you'll always have afib? Thanks
