In endgame, if I make small breaks, will I fall behind?

I tried the game and like it but wondering if it is a game where we fall behind too much if we do some break from time to time. Definitely got this impression from playing 2 weeks. I don’t want a game to feel like something I can never stop

EDIT: I know it is a game and I can play as much as wanted. I am wondering about the concrete leaderboard-based mechanics of this game, not general life advice.
