How has everyone's guild experience been so far?

I made this post because I wanted to share my guild experience and hear about other people's.

I am a day 1 player, spent 60$ at the end of week 2. Currently 6 mil power, top 100.

Week 1 - started in a random guild. we ended up in the top 5, the #1 guild was miles ahead of everyone else because it contained our servers first power players. Everyone was friendly and happy to be there.

Week 2 - our guild started to die. We had 10ish active players and other memebers started to go inactive. It was hard for our leader to maintain a full roster. I started chatting up people to see if they had space in other guilds. I got invited to the #1 guild and I took the opportunity. The guild leader was very quiet (and it turns out not very friendly), they also had the lowest power in the guild. The #2 guild was starting to catch up, had gotten their own power players. It was nice to have competition for the top spot. Having close competition makes the game interesting.

Week 3 - everything fall apart. As I said the guild leader was not the best (they at least had honor and spoke out against poaching players from other guilds), turns out they were mean to a few of our power players and had made the guild unfriendly and unfun. The power players in turn organized a big move of all our guilds power players to the #2 guild, which was more friendly/fun. #2 guild also poached all they power players it could from other guilds as well, including a bunch of people from my original guild (including the guild leader). Now all of our servers power players are in 1 guild, and there is no competition for the top spot anymore. Our guild leader dropped out of our guild and gave it to someone else (not sure as to the exact reason). The new leader is doing a great job of communicating and creating a fun competitive guild.

I'm still a little mad at the ex-guild leader, because of their mediocre leadership and bad attitude with our teammates, we now have a stagnant top spot for the foreseeable future (good for them, bad for competition). Also I was friends with most of the players who left and we interact a lot less now.

I'm not sure what I would do if I got invited to the new #1 guild with my power player friends. 90% of that guild has over 10mil power, so I don't see that happening any time soon.
