I don't get the appeal of re-textured items

By re-textured, I mean stuff like this ^{^}

I genuinely don't get the appeal of any of them outside of being rare, they don't look good on any outfits and they just feel like they don't fit in the game's style.

I like the very 2018 gacha-life aesthetic of them, but I've grown out of wearing galaxy hoodies in 2020...

I'm not really great with discussing things here, but if anyone would like to share why they like them so much! I'd be happy to read it!
