NYU Stern Undergrad for Economics?
I'm an international student applying for mostly economics majors in the US and I am considering NYU Stern's BS in Business with a concentration in Econometrics & Quantitative Economics program.
I really like its economics and quantitative analysis focus, which would prepare me for both industry and research careers. Being in the heart of NYC and having opportunities at Columbia is also a plus.
However, my profile is completely economics-oriented (economics competitions, clubs, research, organization, etc.) so I was wondering if not having business-related ECs would tank my chances (only slightly related ECs I have are behavioral econ research and labor policy essays). Also, although the course listings on Stern's website for this concentration are almost entirely economics, I'm unsure how much the business aspect of Stern I will have to study, if at all, or is the "BS in Business" solely because it is a program in a business school.
