Dizziness (Not Vertigo) While Turning Over
Hey everyone. I had a head trauma about 2 and a half years ago and got BPPV from that which cleared up with the epley. No issues with vertigo since then. Out of nowhere last month, I was lying down in bed flat on my back, looked slightly to my right, and it hit me out of nowhere, and it was undeniable: BPPV again. This time, there was no reason for it happening. It just came out of nowhere. Subsequent rolling over provoked the spinning again and again. So I slept upright and tried to avoid any triggers.
By the time I got to a vestibular therapist three days later, she wasn't able to provoke it, and I haven't felt the spinning since. I came back the next day for additional testing, and still nothing. In the days after that, I started to feel like the vertigo was about to hit when rolling over in bed, anticipating it almost like you're at the top of a roller coaster hill and it begins to move forward toward the huge drop, but it never leads to spinning. It's maybe 3 seconds, 5 at the most, of intense (5-6 out of 10) wavey-type dizziness, but not spinning. It's almost like once my brain realizes I'm not going to spin, it goes away.
It doesn't happen every time either, only when I'm super anxious. I thought I was over it last month, but it just happened again today.
Is this normal? I'm extremely anxious about recurrence. Any advice or reassurance would be appreciated.
