Going out in the pram
I’m two weeks post partum and want to start building up the courage to take baby out for walks in the pram every day once my partners back at work.
At the moment baby is cluster feeding a lot and doesn’t always settle for very long during the day (I pretty much fed him for about 4 hours straight today).
I want to start getting over the anxiety I feel about going out in public with him and maybe walking him round the local supermarket or going to a cafe.
How do people manage this with a fussy, hungry, breastfed baby? Do you just avoid certain times of the day when you know baby feeds a lot? Should I try and pump beforehand so that I have a bottle handy while we’re out? Or do you think I would need to stop somewhere and breastfeed? Do you just wait until you get home to do nappy changes etc? I know this all seems like common sense but I’m quite anxious want to feel more confident taking him out by myself.
Just for context, I live in a suburb where there isn’t much around; i would just be taking him up to the supermarket, the local shops, maybe a small cafe.
