Personally I don't think Yi Suchong deserves the hate or is it dislike? Based on my observation from the fandom.

I mean he embodies Rapture's ideals the most out of all in the scientific community there at least.

Completely not subservient to any sort of morals and selling himself to the highest bidder in order to look after himself.

I think Suchong had he somehow survived the fall of Rapture would had been one of the few individuals who absolutely WILL NOT regret the things he had done unlike let's say Sinclair and Gilbert.
