[CHAT] Who else takes a laissez-faire attitude toward the backs of their project, i.e. just kinda let it take care of itself organically?
Sure, I would love to end up with a back that looks almost as tight as the front. But that's just not compatible with my approach to stitching. I have even gotten to the point where I rarely even lock down the end of a strand when I finish it. Just snip it, leaving about 1/2" tail, and leave it hanging there to eventually get caught up in one of the many multi-colored blobs of thread that accumulate back there.
About the only times I'll lock off an end are when I'm doing backstitching or when I'm doing the last few stitches in an otherwise finished part of the design.
