1 year post surgery (2nd lap) swallowing issues

Hello. I'm about 18 months post surgery, after my surgery I started getting this awful heaving, any time I eat, drink or take a deep breath it sets me off, sometimes to the point of being sick. It's like my body forgets how to swallow. This was originally put down to my hormones being out of whack and I was told it would settle down. It hasn't, I have spoken to my GP and they are stumped so I have to wait until I see a specialist in Feb.

Has anyone else had similar, it's definitely worse when my hormones flare up and it's a good marker for when I have a flare up but it's quite distressing.

I also had my tonsils out last year which we thought might help but it didn't, I have a connective tissue condition meaning I have a mobile trachea, could this be making any difference?
