Incompetence in the Mortgage Industry
Why are there so many incompetent employees in this industry? They drop the ball and as much money, time and life planning that goes into these transactions you'd think they'd be more diligent. They either don't know, forgot, made a mistake, put in the wrong information, didn't see that, missed that, missed this.
It's impossible to make these many mistakes without a full intent to waste everyone's time. I know some people have a smooth application to close process. I never have. Once they make a mistake it's like pulling teeth to get them to correct it or admit it.
They just seem like a group of scammers.
It's not okay to forget to turn in paperwork, put in incorrect information, ask for the exact same documents multiple times, miss important information that can qualify you for the loan, ghost for days with no response or follow-up.
It's unprofessional and shows a complete lack of seriousness in this role. Any one with the ability to talk friendly and pitch a sale can get this job.
