Is this sub satire?

I’m an American and got redirected to this sub because my husband and I are moving to London because of his job. Either the British humor is flying over my head or I’m missing something.

In case the sub isn’t satirical, what would be good areas to live as a family (1 kid who will be 6+ months old) preferably near the financial district in London.

Budget wise: anything up to 7,000 gbp. Preferably 3 bedrooms. We want something spacious and child friendly, near a lot of green space. That isn’t too secluded and close to nice restaurants, cafes, grocery store. Preferably walking distance.

We are looking to rent because we are only there for a few years. I don’t feel comfortable sharing where but it’s near a landmark, St Paul’s cathedral. So a short commute would be perfect. 30 minutes or under but up to 45 minutes will be okay too.
