My Element is VERY creaky since it's been so cold — What's probably at fault?

So, I know that older cars creak more often when it gets cold, but it feels like it's much more pronounced this year than it has been before.

It's most pronounced when laying into the brakes from a moderate roll (like, coming to a full stop at a stop light), and when hitting the gas from a full stop or slow crawl (like picking up at a green light, or stop sign). Sharper turns will also sometimes bring out the sound. It's occasionally so pronounced that I can sort of feel it in the pedal.

It almost sounds like the suspension, but I don't hear much if anything at all when hitting bumps. It also kind of sounds like it could be rubber somewhere, but I don't know why it would be the loudest in those specific scenarios. I was thinking that it could maybe be something about the brakes creaking when it's cold, but I've never heard brakes that sound like that.

The only thing I can think of that's changed since last season is that I had at least one motor mount replaced over the summer. Might've been more, I don't recall.

Any ideas where these noises might be originating from?
