Releasing the brake while stopped

Some time back I discovered that if I pushed down on the brake at a stop I could then lift my foot off completely and the car would sit idle. Made red lights more relaxing.

We took the car in for the recall and now the car doesn't do this any more. If I push the brake down then ease off, the car creeps forward again like your typical automatic transmission.

Does anyone know how this feature is managed? Thanks!

UPDATE: The feature is called AUTO HOLD and the button for this drive feature is over in the center console between the seats with the window controls! When enabled, the words AUTO HOLD will display on the dashboard, and when active at a stop they will turn green. Thanks, fellow forum folks!
