Our parents sense of style

Lkni our parents used to have audacity, i remember back in primary school my mom brought me ma kong kong and forced to wear them to school mind you im a guy, and she was like izo ndo zenyewe sasa, sasa my question is what influenced their decision as far as style was concerned, juu am pretty sure shed get the shoes with good intent 😅!
