Did I make a mistake?

Currency is canadian. Price before taxes was 1699.99 after student discount. I don't know if I made the right choice since I couldn't find too many reviews about it.

What should I expect? How reliable is it? The reason I'm even buying is because my zephyrus g14 killed itself so I'm really scared of it happening again with this one.
