Finally got my Stone Set!
The setting was custom made by Tianyu and the stone is a lab sapphire precision cut by TenaciousFaceting (u/lse138) a US based lapidary.
I definitely think this wasn't straightforward for the jeweler to set and I'm not sure I'd order such a detailed bezel ring as a semi-mount again (I'd going through someone in the US and ship the stone to them). It may not have been as bad if I padded the stone measurement a little (as mentioned in a different post regarding ordering bezel semi-mounts) and made some tweaks to the design. Tianyu told me padding the stone measurements to account for any shrinkage during casting wasn't necessary and that they were factoring it in.
The finishing of the bezel, after setting the stone, isn't ...perfect. I'm not sure of the images/videos pick it up well, but there look to be some tooling marks/indents.
I'm moving very soon (out of state), so I'll more than likely have to find someone local to my new residence to smoooth/touch-up the bezel.
I also wish there had been a little more height to the bezel above where the engraving is as they came really, really close to some of the milgrain detail when the stone was set (a tweak needed for the design and nothing against the jeweler on this).
Overall, I think it's gorgeous and absolutely still love the stone.
