Youtube Shorts not getting views anymore.

I have been posting youtube shorts for a year and a half now with very little success until about 5 months ago when I went from averaging 1k views on a short and having 50 subscribers to getting 10k views and recently hitting 1k subscribers. But that was the issue the shorts would always plateau around 10k views whether it was a short with a hook or just a random clip from my streams. I have almost 30 shorts with over 10k views but not a single one over 15k views. But now even worse I took a break and came back now i'm averaging 500 views. I feel like i'm losing my mind I don't understand anything.
