Missing Pokemon

Are there any non-pc non-day care centre places to store Pokemon in HGSS? Just opened the game for the first time in ages and can’t seem to find one of my old party Pokemon. It’s in the Pokédex and hall of fame, and I definitely haven’t transferred/released it, so any ideas where it could be?
