SD not on schedule

Is there a reason the SD's schedule is "blacked out"? Is it to keep us from seeing when he will be in? He still shows up but his days are missing. I was told this was done deliberatly to keep us from screwing around when he is not there. I never mess around, but I was curious. Is this done deliberatly?
