Trade for Campbell?

HEAR ME OUT.

Edmonton needs to save their season. Campbell is on waivers. Goaltending is their main problem. We have a goalie who has done admirably in spite of his situation.

Edmonton sends us Campbell + their UNPROTECTED first round pick this summer for Blackwood. We eat a bad contract, honestly don't get any worse, and pick up what very well could become a top 5 pick. Edmonton throws the hail mary and tries to save their season with an upgrade in net. If it works out, that first round pick is 20+. That's their hope. If not, we win big time.

What do you think? Campbell's contract is exceptionally bad. Few more years, $5 million per, but to possibly get a really high pick this summer? I'd be very tempted.
