I genuinely am 99% sure silksong will be announced at the Direct, and I don't understand why people are pessimistic about it

Listen. It all makes sense.

Going off the old demos and trailers, it's reasonable to think that silksong would have been fully made by a year ago at least, right? Especially given Team Cherry would have enough money from Hollow Knight to focus all their efforts on it, and not on any part-time jobs. They would also have enough money to hire lots of helpers to speed up production.

But it wouldn't make sense to release it at the end of the Switch's lifespan. It wouldn't make sense to spend all that time porting to a console that is going to be outdated soon anyway. So that would explain why it's taking so long.

This is just a theory, but I think Team Cherry are probably in close contact with Nintendo (they were even in Nintendo Treehouse), and so they were probably asked by Nintendo to delay the release so it could be a launch-title for the Switch 2. This makes sense as so many kids played Hollow Knight on the Switch, so it would be profitable for both parties to delay the release. ALSO, this would explain why Team Cherry are being so quiet and secretive- if they're under an NDA with Nintendo then they can't explain why the release of the game is taking so long.

This would also explain the whole ARG thing- they probably can't bear seeing their fans go crazy so they want to tell us somehow why it's taking so long. And then they have to deny that it all means anything because that would mean legal trouble for them. How is no-one else seeing this?

sorry if im just repeating what MANY others have said, but it still Vexes Me seeing silksong deniers still. all the evidence is here... everything is in place..

Silksong WILL be announced in the Direct. Mark my words.
