Advice on 2005 Subaru Forester X

Hey! I’m looking for advice on buying this used 2005 Subaru Forester X. Has 112k miles and asking $2500 for it. I really just need a simple A to B vehicle that I’ll drive until it can’t anymore. Right now has a “low cat threshold” code. Seller also mentions there’s a tick that one mechanic said could need a valve adjustment and another said that could be head gasket.

Maintenance summary between 2017 and last year: Valve cover gaskets been done twice Head gasket Intake gasket Timing belt Bent exhaust valve replaced Cat back, exhaust center and rear Alternator, battery, ignition coil and a few other items.

This sounds like it’s going to need some work but do you think it’s worth it or sounds like I’m opening a can of worms?
