hot take: ultrahand was underutilized in totk and should be recycled for another game
It’s absolutely amazing that it works and it’s cleverly used in puzzles but a few things hold it back in totk:
— for really ambitious creations they drain battery way too fast — using ultrahand creations for combat is never essential in the game and rarely the best way to fight — it’s easy to go the whole game mostly avoiding the depths, meaning that you barely upgrade your battery and making ambitious creations is rarely worth it. It ends up feeling like a basically extraneous part of the game
A game that reuses the ultrahand mechanic but actually forces you to get crazy with what you build could be very fun
