Calling Out Sick

I woke up with a sore throat and decided it was best to call out and go to the doctor. Before going to the doctor, I called out and got such an attitude from my team lead. She was talking a couple weeks ago about if you call out sick we won’t be mad at you, we want to keep everyone safe.

Anyways, the doctor said I should not go back to work until after the weekend and wrote me a note to give to HR when I return. (My team lead said to get my doctors note to HR but I can’t find her email online and I don’t want to go up there when I’m sick, so what should I do?)

I am coming up on two months working at Target and I really enjoyed it at first but if I call out of work sick, I shouldn’t feel bad afterwards like I am now. I’m just feeling really off about this situation.
