Way too much grass/foliage?

Hi everyone, so I tried getting into TFC but have been facing some issues with the grass.

It feels like compared to vanilla there is so much more and so much taller grass everywhere so I 1: cannot see where I‘m going in 1st person and 2: my pc lags so much because there are so many grass meshes loaded in at all times.

Does anyone have an idea how to maybe reduce the grass amount or some other solution? Thanks for the help, I do really find the mod very intriguing but with these issues it’s almost impossible to play for me.
