Why do White's Tree Frogs try to eat fingers?
Bit of a silly question, but I follow several different frog owners on social media (and have come across others) and have come across a consistent variable: White's Tree Frogs are constantly trying to bite or swallow fingers. Every single White's owner I've seen has at least one photo/video of theirs munching on their fingers or outright engulfing it and having to be removed.
I haven't seen any other frogs do this. I haven't owned any myself, but again, none of the other frogs/toads that I've seen as pets online are little finger-gobblers like White's are, at least not by the look of things.
Are they just particularly ravenous? Do other frogs do it too, and I've just only ever seen White's do it?
