What did you think of Cher in "Moonstruck" (as well as the movie)?

I loved Cher's Opera dress. The black dress, the black make-up, the hair. It was divine. And she was 41 in that movie and was still able to wow us.

The performance? Not my cup of tea. I mean, Cher is a good actress but I didn't like her performance, it was too broad. I did LOVE Olympia Dukakis as the mother in law who isn't happy with her life and flirts with the possibility of being with another man, played by John Mahoney. She's such a brilliant actress and a vocal supporter of the LGBT community, through her time in Tales of the City. Love her.
