Bad Reviews that Sold You on the Movie

Siskel and Ebert believed that if a critic did their job correctly, a reader could read a negative review and walk away interested in the film.

I'm curious if any of the Blankies have had that experience. If so, what was the review/film? Did you agree with the critic(s) or did you end up enjoying it.
