What are some movie scenes in which overlayed text bubbles pop up to depict the act of texting without having to film the phone screen?
Doing a piece about how the best auteurs in Hollywood have been choosing to not tell stories set in the modern era, and a big part of that is purposefully avoiding smartphones, texting, etc..
I know I’ve seen directors choose to depict texting with dialogue bubbles over the characters heads, but I can’t think of any specific examples.
If any of you have any off the top of your head, it’d be much appreciated!
Thanks :)
