Will the new generation be interested in Books?

Even among Gen Zs, the habit of reading has been mostly on a decline. I mean, we have so many other ways to experience a story too through movies, shows, games, etc.

But for Gen Alpha (2010 - 25), it's about to get even worse. Tiktok, Reels, etc. have reduced the attention span of kids to the size of a peanut. It's getting hard for them to even watch a long movie. Plus, tech is getting cooler and they would have things like VR (and who knows what else in the future) to keep them entertained.

What does that look like for the future of Books? Will the new generation still find them meaningful?

Edit: Yes, I know that the habit of reading isn't going extinct anytime soon. But will it continue to decline?
