Obscure 90’s superhero comic

So I’m looking of anyone can help find the title. It was black and white and I only ever read one issue around 1993. It was about a guy who had super powers and he must have been away in jail or something. In the issue I read he comes home and he talks his girlfriend into getting superpowered, which she did but she really didn’t like it. I seem to remember that oddly after she’s become super they go grocery shopping and they are walking around the store like 7ft tall with people staring. I also think once they had powers their eyes no longer had pupils. I think the guy was really a villain but I don’t know as I only read the one issue Anyone remember it ?
