I’m new to this and have question

I opened and funded and cash management account and a UTMA account for my son, I put money into the cash management account than transferred it to his utma account. Than I purchased a mutual fund FXAIX in his account. I purchased that fund this morning around 9am and it still shows pending and open. How long does it take for a mutual fund purchase to go through
