Distinctive hotel room smell?
Staying at the Miccosukee casino resort on the far west edge of Miami. I’ve only stayed in Florida a few times in the last 25 years. My favorite place as a kid was a condo on the beach up in Indian Shores. I was last there in 1999 and was only 8. I was reminiscing on the way down here. When I got into my room at Miccosukee I stopped dead in my tracks. It was the EXACT same smell of the condo I haven’t been to in 26 years. Could never forget it. Might sound silly but the sense of smell is so powerful. It brought back so many memories.
Does anybody know what I’m talking about? What is this smell? I’ve definitely never smelled it in the Midwest. Nor anywhere else in Florida. What is this exactly? Is it a special kind of paint used for the humidity or something? It’s gotta be the smell of some sort of material. I can’t even describe it, it is a good smell though. I don’t think it’s any kind of air freshener either. But this blew my mind. So much that I’m making a post like this! What is this smell? Thank you.
