Hamburg Kiel Commute

Moin everybdy,

My friend has an apartment in Hamburg, so I want to live there and stay close to my job (newly accepted). However, I am enrolled at the University of Kiel this semester, I have to go to Kiel for half of the week.

• Is there anyone daily commute before? How tolerable is it?
• Can I commute (Kiel-Hamburg) for free with the semester ticket provided by the university? or lets say Will it be very costly?
