Why do my SVS subs keep breaking?
In October 2020 I bought a pair of PC-2000 Pro subwoofers directly from SVS.
In April of last year the left one starting making noise on its own, even with cable unplugged - which support identified as a bad amplifier.
They sent me a new one, I installed it, good as new!
But now today the right one started doing the same thing. It’s under warranty so I expect SVS’s excellent support to ship me another new amp relatively quickly but now that they both broke in under 5 years I am left wondering….
Is there something environmental / I’m doing that causing them to break? Did SVS produce a bad batch of Subwoofer Amps in 2020?
I’ve never had an amp on anything else I’ve ever owned die like this - and I live in an apartment so it’s not like I’ve been blasting these things.
Just looking for an explanation.
