TikTok is the Nuclear of the mind, & should be banned everywhere, forever.

Lengthy writing, I enjoy yapping and i believe this is interesting. (read if you want) TikTok is undoubtedly dangerous and sinister, and I believe any contrary opinion stems from a lack of understanding of its capabilities. The application should remain banned everywhere, permanently. Here’s my perspective on why:

The popular rhetoric about TikTok centers on data collection or free speech, but the real issue is its confidential algorithm. TikToks algorithm is way beyond the norm regarding content delivery systems, it’s a mind mapping and manipulation tool of high sophistication, it’s truly some innovative military marvel algorithmic technology. I am no stranger to TikTok, I’ve spent an unhealthy amount of time on the app. I fear people with such contentions about the application lack the time invested to get sufficient observations or analysis of its algorithmic capabilities. I can assure you, the algorithm is absolutely stupefying. There were times the algorithm would suggest something relating to a particular thought in my brain, no history of looking it up, no speaking about this thought, no potential data the algorithm could use to determine this thought, yet I’ve received content which such compelling precision, a thought so independently tailored to you it raises an alert. You can search on Reddit of many occurrences of people sharing their experience of the algorithm having alarming mind reading & mind prompting like capabilities. The biggest social media companies in the world that are twice the age of TikTok, algorithms aren’t near the same realm of capability. To compare TikTok to such companies is ignorant & inadequate. China through TikTok, owns the most addictive and time consuming platform to ever exist, that’s mass adopted by the younger generation within a decade. This is no coincidence. The algorithm that drives TikTok is unprecedented and we allowed the CCP to test and experiment this new algorithmic technology on 170 million Americans and millions globally for nearly a decade. Yet, this same algorithm is kept entirely off limits to China’s own citizens, and also cannot be sold? Major red flag. Us allowing a foreign adversary to deploy its mind controlling algorithms unchecked within our borders is not just naive, it’s dangerous. Failing to act we willingly hand over the keys to the minds of our citizens and the future of our democracy.

Heres my slightly autistic theories that conveys ways the algorithm could be shaping the world’s discourse that I’ve found alarmingly enlightening. If you find any discrepancy please point them.

Skewing the algorithmic distribution of presidential rhetoric in let’s say, specific swing states is not unfeasible. The algorithm could amplify the positive or negative sentiment regarding a particular candidate creating the illusion of consensus. This isn’t overt propaganda.. it’s quiet, pervasive persuasion. I believe they manipulated the algorithms, specifically in swing states this 2024 election to potentially sway votes. Biden Harris administration signed the bill, rendering them inadequate regarding “saving” TikTok. Trump initial presidential campaign on TikTok was about “saving them”.  One of TikTok's biggest investors in the US has close relations to Donald Trump and is also one of his Campaign Donors. If the CCP valued a chance of TikTok’s saving, more than his temporary 4 year term. Why wouldn’t the algorithmic distribution favor trump this election given he is their only hope of saving them— to show: “look, you have a lot of youth support on this platform”, “look at how much pro Trump rhetoric is on our platform.” In other words: China is the bartender, attempting to intoxicate him with bias; if this is true it seems to be working. (Trumps meetings with the TikTok's CEO) & him deliberately stating he now has “warm spots” for the app due to the support he’s received from younger demographics, and now him planning an executive order to delay the enforcement of the law, while also attempting only 50% divestiture of TikTok, which would still leave ByteDance in control of the algorithm, while still meeting the “qualified divestiture” requirements which is determined by the president according to the law. This would fall perfectly onto the path the CCP had completely planned and wanted. This example not only shows the importance, it also shows how under the radar its manipulation persuasion tactics can be.

TikTok used its algorithm to division the Right completely is not unfeasible. By amplifying anti-Jewish and pro-Hamas rhetoric efforts to ban CCP linked espionage tools like TikTok, are reframed by these radicalized groups as “a Jewish attempt to suppress speech.” “The Jews did this.” This is precisely what the CCP wanted & fabricated. Consequently, a once fluent consensus is now left scrambled. Cognitive dissonance is blinding the victims radicalized by anti-Jewish rhetoric to the tangible dangers TikTok pose, making them unwittingly compliant with China’s agenda. An exemplar on how to flawlessly manipulate masses with the power of ego & bias. The result is a fractured response to national security threats, serving China’s broader strategy.

The concerning part is the scale on which all can be done. A great example is this “Red note” application phenomenon. Red note blew up in everyone’s face in less than 48 hours, superior algorithms can plant something in the minds of millions of people in an almost instantaneous, mind virus like manner, with such meticulous fabrication it’s viral occurrence seems completely organic—but was it?

An important pointer here: TikTok represents the first new age algorithm, and older frameworks for regulation simply don’t apply. Again, no current algorithm on any other social media platform remotely compares to TikTok’s; this is precisely why China refuses to sell it, it’s confidential. Comparing it other social media is inadequate and dismissive of the unique distinction. Regarding new sophisticated algorithms similar to TikTok. Mind learning and controlling algorithms ought not to be in the hands of any foreign adversary, nor solely in the hands of any social media company. While US social media companies do influence narratives, the key difference is that when a platform is controlled by a foreign adversary, the potential for strategic manipulation and national security risks is much greater.
