After love faded, she left forever ( fixed translation chapter 12 to 19

Chapter 12

Jonathan’s mind spun with realization. He had forgotten that Anna was never the type to silently tolerate betrayal.

Her parents’ relationship had been a glaring warning. They had once struggled for Anna’s sake, yet their love had withered, leaving them as resentful spouses who, after separating, had become enemies. Their shared love for their daughter had been crushed by endless disputes, turning even the sight of her into a source of discomfort.

Anna had learned from that. She knew that if Jonathan found out she was leaving, he would never let her go. He would use any means necessary to keep her by his side.

So, she chose to walk away from everything—her home in America, her past identity, even Jonathan’s world. She had disappeared, cutting all ties and leaving him to the life they once shared.

The weight of his regret and fury pressed down on him, suffocating.

“Anna, no. This can’t be true. I won’t let you go!”

Jonathan’s hands shook as he reached for the divorce papers, the only remnants of their shattered marriage. He hesitated, the reality of what he was about to do settling in. These papers were all that remained of her, a connection he feared losing.

He traced her name with trembling fingers, eyes clouded with longing.

“Anna, it’s my fault. I shouldn’t have betrayed you. I only love you,” he whispered.

“I’ll change, whatever you want. Just don’t leave me. I can’t live without you, Anna.”

He repeated his apologies over and over, his voice breaking, but the silence in the room mocked him. No matter how desperately he pleaded, she was no longer there to hear him.

Chapter 13

Jonathan stood in the emptiness of the house, overwhelmed by loneliness and despair. He hated himself, but his anger toward Isabella was even more profound. If it hadn’t been for her, would everything have turned out differently?

He reached into the trash and retrieved a small cake, now cold and stale, its sweetness long forgotten. But to Jonathan, it was priceless—it was Anna’s favorite. She hadn’t even taken a bite, leaving it behind like a silent testament to her absence.

Suddenly, his eyes fell on Anna’s SIM card in the trash. His hands trembled as he cleaned it off and slid it into his phone. It felt as though, by doing so, a part of her was still with him, still able to reach out.

The phone buzzed to life, displaying a message from a familiar number.

“Anna, Jonathan loves me the most. Do you really think leaving him will make him come back to you? You know, today we were still talking about this very thing!”

Jonathan’s vision blurred as he saw a photo flash on the screen. Rage surged within him, sharp and suffocating.

“I told you, Isabella,” he whispered through gritted teeth, his voice low and deadly, “Anna could never find out about you and me.”

Chapter 14

“Anna, I haven’t signed the papers yet. Until I do, we’re not divorced. We’re still married, and I will find you.”

Jonathan’s eyes darkened with determination as he spoke, his voice resolute. He couldn’t accept it—she was meant to be his. He would admit his mistakes, but he would never accept Anna leaving him.

With a surge of defiance, Jonathan carefully tucked the divorce papers away. At least he still had her photos on his phone, a means to soothe his aching heart.

He searched through them, clinging to any memory that reminded him of her. But Anna had been thorough. She had destroyed everything in the house that was connected to her. Possessions were either sold or discarded without a trace. The house felt empty, as if Anna had erased herself completely.

Suddenly, his phone rang, interrupting his spiral.

“Jonathan, I saw an auction online for AVANNA—”

Jonathan’s heart skipped a beat. He cut her off, hanging up before she could say more. His hands shook as he dialed Daniel’s number.

“Daniel, check if AVANNA has been auctioned off. If she has, get her back—no matter the cost.”

The silence on the other end stretched long before Daniel finally responded, his voice hesitant.

“Well, Mr. Jonathan, AVANNA was bought by a collector. We were told—”

Jonathan’s phone slipped from his grasp, hitting the floor and shattering. The sound echoed through the empty room.

How could this have happened? Why was it too late now?

AVANNA had been a symbol of his love for Anna. The fact that she had sold it—again—was a cruel reminder of how little he meant to her. Did he mean nothing to her at all?

His eyes filled with anguish and despair as the realization sank in. Now even AVANNA belonged to someone else. What about her? Did she belong to someone else too?

Jonathan couldn’t bear the thought. From the moment he had first seen Anna, he had known she was the one. He had imagined countless futures with her, all ending in happiness. Now, standing alone in the silence, surrounded by the remnants of his mistakes, he hated himself—and he hated Isabella even more.

If it hadn’t been for her, would things have turned out differently?

He reached into the trash, his hand trembling, and carefully pulled out the small, cold, stale cake that Anna had left behind. It had lost its sweetness, but to him, it was priceless. It was her favorite.

Suddenly, his eyes caught sight of something else in the trash: Anna’s SIM card. With a shaking hand, he cleaned it off and placed it into his phone. It was as if, by doing so, he could still feel her presence.

His phone lit up with a message from a familiar number.

“Jonathan, Anna knows I love him. Do you really think leaving will make him come back to you? You know, today we were still talking about this very thing!”

Jonathan’s vision blurred with fury as a photo appeared on the screen.

It was suffocating. His rage was sharp, consuming him.

“Isabella, I told you—Anna could never find out about us,” he hissed through clenched teeth.

Chapter 15

After sending the message, Isabella glanced at her phone and scoffed, a wicked smile spreading across her face as she dialed another number.

“Anna, when did you learn to imitate Jonathan’s tone? You even sound a bit like him now.”

“If I were you, I would have already given up the position of Mrs. Jonathan and walked away with my tail between my legs. I’m carrying Jonathan’s child, and soon, he’ll propose to me!”

“When that happens, you’ll be cast out with dignity. You don’t want that, do you? You should know your place as Mrs. Jonathan now; I might spare you some dignity.”

“Otherwise, you’ll end up with nothing, and your dreams will be shattered.”

As Isabella spoke, her voice began to harden, but there was still a slight tremor in her chest. Fear, a sharp pang of it, started to creep in. But she quickly suppressed it.

“Anna, don’t tell me you’re so desperate and miserable that you can’t even speak anymore? I already told you, Jonathan’s heart belongs to me. He doesn’t want you; he’s just pretending,” she taunted.

But before she could enjoy her victory, Jonathan’s voice shattered the silence, cutting through Isabella’s smugness.

“Oh, Molly? What do you think you’re doing? How dare you provoke Anna like this?”

His words, cold and biting, struck Isabella’s heart like a knife.

It was over. This time, she was truly done for.

Isabella’s hand trembled, and she almost dropped her phone.

No, this couldn’t be happening. She was carrying Jonathan’s child; he wouldn’t turn against her now.

But as the realization dawned, Isabella steadied herself. No, she couldn’t lose her composure. Jonathan’s voice, however, carried a note of finality.

“Jonathan, I’m sorry… I didn’t mean for this to happen. It was Jonathan who started insulting me. I was just defending myself.”

“It’s my fault. I was wrong. Please don’t do this. I’m really scared.”

Isabella tried to feign weakness, sobbing and trembling as if she were vulnerable, desperate for Jonathan’s sympathy. But this time, it was no use. His voice was firm, cutting through her deceit.

“Enough. If you don’t want to tell the truth, then I’ll find out another way.”

Jonathan didn’t give Isabella a chance to respond before he hung up the phone, leaving her stunned and speechless.

Shortly after, Jonathan sent someone to take Isabella’s phone. Before she could erase or disguise any of the texts, it was already gone from her grasp.

Jonathan opened the phone and scanned the messages and images Isabella had sent. It was overwhelming—countless provocative photos and taunting words sent in just half a month. As he looked through the messages, the world seemed to blur before him. His mind felt like it had been struck by a thunderclap.

What foolish things had he and Isabella done? The idea of it all, from Anna’s perspective, made him feel suffocated. He couldn’t even imagine how Anna had endured it.

If it had been Anna doing this to him, he would have lost his mind already.

Jonathan’s face turned pale, the weight of realization crashing down on him. His heart ached unbearably, and it took a long time before he slowly began to regain his composure.

His handsome features were now drawn and tense, surrounded by an air of deadly intent. The look in his eyes was dangerously sharp, revealing just how far he was willing to go.

Chapter 16

“Shut up, Isabella! Remember this—you’re nothing but a plaything. What right do you have to compare yourself to Anna?”

Jonathan’s voice was cold, terrifying, and laced with a hint of malice.

“You’re a child; whatever I want, I can have.”

“Someone, take Isabella to the hospital and get rid of the child in her womb!”

Upon hearing this, Isabella's entire body went rigid.

She clutched her belly protectively.

This was her only chance to keep her life and wealth. If she could abort this child, she might still have a future.

Desperate, Isabella ran toward the crowd.

They would save her! They had promised to protect her and stand up for her!

Jonathan waved his hand, signaling the bodyguards to stop and ignore Isabella.

He looked at her struggling figure with a cold, ruthless gaze, as if she were already dead.

As expected, the next moment brought even greater despair for Isabella.

The people who had been emotionally worked up moments before now came to their senses.

All of this was thanks to Jonathan and Texas Corporation’s fame.

The overwhelming news coverage had made Jonathan and the Texas Corporation known to almost everyone. Even a child on the set could recognize him.

Jonathan’s love for Anna had been talked about endlessly.

Countless couples had once admired their love, and many spoke of them when discussing relationships.

When people saw Jonathan and his bodyguards, they instantly recognized who he was.

But no one expected that Isabella, the beloved celebrity blogger they enjoyed watching, was actually Jonathan’s mistress!

Immediately, the image they had of Jonathan shattered.

What made them even angrier was that Isabella had used their sympathy to paint Anna as the third party.

They had trusted Isabella, stood by her, and wanted to speak on her behalf.

The anger in the crowd grew stronger.

How could she exploit their good intentions and deceive them all?

The people had been kind to her, and now they were furious.

Isabella’s situation took a turn for the worse.

As soon as she lunged forward, she was swarmed by a crowd of people, all eager to vent their anger.

They punched and kicked her, shouting insults that were too vile to repeat.

Words like “homewrecker” and “slut” were mild compared to what they were calling her.

In their eyes, Isabella and her entire existence deserved nothing good.

Most of them were standing up for Anna.

Jonathan watched the scene unfold and, when he felt it was enough, slowly walked over and instructed the bodyguards to clear the crowd.

He lifted Isabella’s chin with the tip of his shoe and said coldly, “Apologize to Anna on all platforms, admit your wrongs regarding the child, cancel your accounts, and never show up in front of me again!”

He gave Isabella no room to refuse.

In front of him, she was always the subordinate.

Isabella lay on the ground in a disgraceful position, yet she still clutched her stomach protectively.

Even though countless people had beaten her and cursed her just moments ago, she didn’t fight back, keeping her hands firmly on her belly.

This was her last hope.

As long as the child could be born safe, she still had a chance at survival.

Chapter 17

But Jonathan had no intention of giving that chance.

He had already done many things to hurt Anna.

If he still wanted to win Anna back, this child could never be allowed to stay.

Once it was born, there would be no hope left for him and Anna.

Jonathan clenched his heart and directly ordered the bodyguards to drag Isabella to the hospital.

Isabella struggled and resisted countless times but was overpowered by the bodyguards and ended up lying on the cold operating table.

The anesthetic was administered, and she gradually lost control of her limbs. Her eyelids closed uncontrollably.

When she woke up again, her stomach was empty. There had once been a formed child there!

The pain in her abdomen tugged at her, and even moving a little felt excruciatingly difficult.

The child—it was really gone!

Isabella lay in despair on the hospital bed, with bodyguards still watching over her, waiting for her to apologize to Anna.

Not long after, Jonathan saw the apology video that Isabella had posted online.

He pulled the corners of his lips into a twisted smirk but couldn’t bring himself to laugh.

It still couldn’t bring Anna back.

To this day, he still hadn’t found a trace of Anna.

She seemed to have disappeared without a trace, as though she had never existed.

If it weren’t for the traces of her existence still left online, Jonathan might have almost believed that she was nothing more than a dream.

“If only I hadn’t gone to see Isabella the day Anna left… maybe things would have turned out differently.”

“If only I had stayed true to myself and not been tempted by Isabella…”

Jonathan sat in the private room of a bar, frustrated, drinking bottle after bottle.

He didn’t know how long it had been since he last had a good night’s sleep.

The scent of Anna, which had once filled their home, was growing fainter to the point that he could barely stand to be there.

But despite drinking countless bottles of liquor, he wasn’t drunk. If anything, he was even more sober.

He knew, with absolute clarity, that she wasn’t there with him anymore.

“Heh,” Jonathan muttered, holding the bottle, and gave a bitter laugh.

“Anna, I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have drunk. I knew you hated the smell of alcohol on me.”

“Come out and scold me. Please, if you appear in front of me, I won’t drink anymore.”

He sounded like a childish, unreasonable brat.

A few of his friends had heard Jonathan was there, so they called in a group of young, beautiful girls.

“You girls, who can comfort President Jonathan, will earn glory and wealth in the house!” the man in the wine-red shirt whispered.

The girls entered expertly and lined up, each sitting closer to Jonathan.

A beautiful girl sat to Jonathan’s left, her slender fingers like serpents, skillfully trying to spin his clothes.

His face was as dark as the bottom of a pot, and he grabbed a bottle of wine, smashing it over the beautiful girl’s head.

Blood immediately started flowing.

The girl screamed but was kicked away by Jonathan in one swift action.

“Who gave you the guts, you disgusting thing? Get out of here!”

In an instant, all the girls in the room scattered like birds flying away in panic.

After all, it was better to be touched outside than to end up with a bloody head here without gaining anything.

Jonathan’s brows furrowed with irritation. He rubbed his forehead and opened another bottle of wine, drinking directly from the bottle.

His friends exchanged glances and sighed one after another.

Chapter 18

“Jonathan, what’s going on with you? Isabella made a mistake, and you taught her a lesson. Fine. But do you really love Anna that much?”

“Yeah, Anna’s just a woman. With your status, what woman can’t you have?”

“Are you really going to keep chasing her? You should show her that without her, you can have many other women and live better. That way, she’ll come back to you.”

“True, and it’s nothing. Just find a few girls who look like Anna and have them learn from her. It’ll be the same!”

His brothers casually tried to comfort him.

Over the years, they had witnessed Jonathan’s deep feelings for Anna and thought it was a bit pointless.

They were surrounded by women, but Jonathan was different.

Was Anna really that great?

However, when this question was raised, it showed that they, too, had started to be tempted by this way of life.

There had been countless times when they had encouraged the end of Jonathan and Anna’s relationship, even feeling jealous.

Because they wore the title of playboy and would never settle down with one woman, they had long forgotten how to treat people with genuine feelings.

To them, women were nothing but playthings.

But Jonathan was the odd one out among them.

Although they had a good relationship with him, they secretly feared bringing him down to their level, of turning him into someone like them.

Jonathan accepting Isabella meant that he had finally become just like them.

They didn’t understand what he was so emotional and regretful about.

She was just a woman. What was so special about her?

But when Jonathan heard their dismissive remarks about Anna, rage surged in his chest. He grabbed the nearest object and started smashing it over their heads, one by one. He didn’t hold back. No one in the room escaped.

Even though he had drunk a lot, his fists and kicks were still sharp, quick, and precise.

Those who tried to step in were left with bruised faces.

Before long, the room was filled with the bodies of men lying on the floor.

“Anna is my life. If anyone speaks ill of her again, watch out for yourselves. I won’t let you off!” Jonathan said coldly.

The room immediately fell into complete silence. Everyone stood still, not daring to move an inch.

This was the angriest they had ever seen him.

They were all as timid as sparrows.

After a long while, the oppressive atmosphere only began to ease when the noise of the city outside started up again.

A man, still holding onto his pride, suppressed his anger and stepped outside to call his manager.

“See this woman in the photo? Find a few girls who look like her, the closer the better. Get them here as soon as possible.”

The man stared coldly at the photo of Anna on his phone.

He also sent the manager a copy of the photo.

The manager had connections with several high-end clubs in the city, so it wasn’t hard to arrange for a few girls to serve the influential guests.

Not long after, a girl who resembled Anna by about ninety percent knocked on the private room door.

“Excuse me... are you the ones who ordered service?”

She spoke hesitantly as she pushed a cart with drinks and snacks into the room.

When the door opened, the others in the room were surprised—this girl did look a bit like Anna.

She was just younger, more innocent-looking.

They exchanged glances and gestured for the girl to go by Jonathan.

They smiled confidently, not thinking Jonathan would actually use this woman.

“Sir, is this the drink you ordered?”

The girl stood in front of Jonathan, gently calling out to him.

Chapter 19

Jonathan’s heart skipped a beat.

For a moment, he truly thought it was Anna standing before him.

“Anna! You’re back! You’re finally back! I’ve been looking for you for so long, searching all over the city and couldn’t find you.”

He immediately pulled the girl into his arms. A few warm tears fell onto her clothes, causing her to flinch.

But in the next instant, he snapped back to reality and realized something was wrong.

Her scent was nothing like Anna’s.

Jonathan pushed the girl away with a forceful shove, sending her sprawling onto the table. His hand tightened, almost choking her as she gasped, her eyes rolling back in pain.

The girl struggled desperately, trying to push Jonathan’s iron grip away.

“Jonathan! Stop! You’re going to kill her!”

Several of his brothers quickly grabbed his arms, trying to stop his actions.

Only then did he slowly come to his senses, withdrawing his hand with a cold, sweeping glance over everyone present, taking note of who they were.

“I think I warned you all before, but some of you couldn’t hold back. Fine. From now on, we’re no longer friends.”

“From now on, we’ll only be opponents, not friends!”

“If it weren’t for you guys, maybe I wouldn’t have done something to hurt Anna.”

Jonathan’s merciless words chilled the hearts of everyone in the room.

In the city, they were at the top, with Jonathan at the helm. Who could challenge him?

Everyone exchanged nervous glances, each one growing more uneasy.

One man slapped himself in the face, wishing he had never done such foolish things.

Outside, the men slapped themselves, each consumed by a regret so deep it was almost unbearable.

If only they had said nothing, done nothing, and just kept Jonathan company as he drank away his sorrow. Maybe things wouldn’t have turned out like this.

If they hadn’t pushed Jonathan to find another way, perhaps none of this would have happened.

But sadly, there were no "ifs" or "maybes."

Jonathan, drunk and heavy-hearted, seemed like a cold, broken man.

The photos Anna had disposed of—some of them still had backups. He printed them out and placed them back where they used to be.

Some didn’t even have backups and were lost forever.

He had tried so hard to bring the house back to its former state, but it still felt different.

Without Anna, the house had lost all its life.

Standing by the window, Jonathan realized that from this angle, he could see everything in the neighborhood clearly.

So, on the day she left, she must have witnessed him kissing Isabella with her own eyes.

His heart twisted painfully, and he pressed his hand tightly against his chest, gasping for breath.

The pain, however, only made him more awake, more aware of what he had done.

“Assistant Daniel, find Anna.”

“Sorry, President Jonathan, there’s nothing new.”

Jonathan hung up the phone. The result was still the same.

Over the past few days, he had sent out many people to investigate Anna’s whereabouts.

But she had canceled her identity information. Even when she went to the airport that day, she used a temporary identification.

She had also bought several tickets to different corners of the world.

Though the Texas family was vast and powerful, their influence had its limits, and finding Anna was as difficult as climbing a mountain.

Her identity being canceled was as good as erasing her existence from the world.

That meant their marriage no longer existed.
