Bucket Problem

Hello, I’m bringing a 6 gallon batch for the first time and I’ve just pitched the yeast, however, I just discovered the bucket I got has a one time use lid. It’s super hard to seal (I have not been able to yet ) and for now I have some heavy weights on top and I’m going to see if the bung starts bubbling.

I’ll post a link to the bucket on Amazon. I need to be starring the mead for the next few days and taking gravity readings.

What am I supposed to do?
