My volume slider don my 3DS doesnt change the volume when slid and the volume is stuck at max, how do i fix this?

I tried searching it up but i can only find fixes for the DS and the 3D slider. Its updated + i tried restarting it with the slider down. Do i have to open it up, and if so will it be easy to fix?
