Leaseback risks and tips
Bought our first home and are trying to navigate the complicated world of home ownership. The sellers want to rent from us for 6 months after settlement which is fine but we are getting worried.
Anyone here done a leaseback and can give us some tips or advice on how to navigate this?
I am particularly concerned because they wont give us an empty house to inspect as they are living there but once they eventually move out it will be as per the tenancy agreement and not as per the sale agreement so their obligations are different.
How do we make sure we are covered before settlement/new tenancy agreement?
