Virgil vs Sawyer who wins?

On one hand Sawyer is a trainer who went from a rookie with his first starter to getting all 8 gym badges and placing Top 4 in one of the most competitive regions. He did rely on countering his opponents team however and when that didn't work out he panicked. While he did get Ash down to his last Pokemon, it was because he made his entire team around him. Despite that, Ash could have won 4-6 if he used Greninja instead of Pikachu anyways. Even then, thats a great feat considering XY Ash was low-Elite Four level already.

On the other hand..

Virgil is a veteran trainer/ranger who swept Cameron in the Semifinals only losing 3 of his pokemon vs 6 of Camerons (Cameron used his sixth Pokemon this time) and likely would've swept Unovan Ash 2-6. He went on to beat Dino who had a team of pretty stacked mons (not that it matters, but people often say Unova leagues quality is low) including Mandibuzz, Darmanitan, Chandelure, etc. Then again, we have no way of knowing how strong Dino is.
