Any love for the humble little Mazda5?

Ended up buying this bad boy in a pinch earlier this year after my well loved outback blew her headgaskets. I didn’t know much about them besides being a minivan body on a little Mazda3 platform.

I do love it so far, it’s very spacious inside for the small footprint and it’s pleasant to drive compared to a full size minivan. The sliding doors are actually super useful and the back two rows of seats fold down completely flat (there are 3 rows of seats, 2 rows of captain’s chairs each and a tiny bench in the back). The Ford co-developed 2.5 L 4 cyl DOHC engine seems to have a reputation for reliability in this car, but the Mazda5 does also have a reputation for eating through brakes, tires, and struts (possibly because of the larger minivan body built on a sedan platform).

Does anyone have experience with these? I tbh wish Mazda would bring them back, maybe with an AWD option.
