Pro run no bonus weapons question!!

I’m starting my pro NG+ run. Aiming for the hand cannon. I have the primal knife equipped. I’m going to not use it and put it in storage when I get to the first typewriter. Will doing that still work in counting as completed with no bonus weapons??
