Why do people hate Rocket?

Had a game the other week in Plat 3 where my entire team shit on me for picking Rocket and said they were gonna report me for throwing (ended up with the most healing in that match). But I’ve been loving Rocket and managed to climb to Diamond only using him and plan to see how far I can go. I don’t get the hate ?
