Share your fish absue stories

Most of us have had that time when we were younger or inexperienced and dumbasses where we abused fish. I want you guys to share your horror stories of abusing fish

I was around 6 years old and i went to a birthday party with GOLDFISH in bowls (😭🙏💀) and some small dither fish as if the goldfish wasnt enough. I took it home and put the bowl on the kitchen table and fed the fish BREADCRUMBS (Insert vine boom sound). That wasn't enough for me though because my friend had a birthday party at school and lo and behold the giveaways were bettas in literal half gallon containers 💀. I brought it home next to the goldfish bowl and only a while later i got gifted a 3 gallon tank with a betta and some dither fish in it (that same tank is now a shrimp tank) . I now had a whole damn fish abuse operation going on, i fed the fish, no filter. The bowl was about less than a gallon and stupid 6 year old me wouldn't even let the fish SUFFER IN PEACE. BECAUSE I SHOOK THE BOWLS TO "STIMULATE WAVES" OR SOME SHI-

then when i came home from the beach i got seashells that ruin water parameters and plopped them in. Then i got gifted a THIRD BETTA and i kept it in a small plastic soup/food container 💀🖕. I cleaned the bowls by removing the fish into a temporary container (has chlorine) and SCRUBBER THAT SHIT CLEAN. Eventually they started dying off and one of the small fish in the goldfish bowl disappeared and i BLAMED THE GOLDFISH FOR EATING IT even if bro didn't do anything wrong and the reason the fish did suicide is because OF ME. eventually they all died off and to this day i feel terrible. I wanted to get ANGELFISH NEXT 💀 but luckily my stupid child brain forgot about that. (some angelfish got lucky)

6 year old me does not deserve those fish and my current self deserves those beautiful animals more and i would actually give them proper care. Well nearly all us fishkeepers experienced doing horrible stuff like that, but its the mistakes that make us better people.

Id like hear what stories you guys have to tell, drop them down in the comments. We listen and we dont judge
