05 Outback XT CA emissions spec PCV valve location

There is a lot of different information out there in terms of the location of the PCV valve, I believe to have found my own, circles in red, but it looks a little different than some photos I found of the same year (could be different on a CA spec?) Just want a confirmation before I go to remove it.

Also bonus question, what is the thing circled in green? Just curious
