What’s your goal weight based on? BMI or something else?
I’ll try to make this short but I am 5’2 and my SW was 260. My CW is 238 and I have my goal weight as 160. That is still like 40 pounds heavier than my BMI says I should be at my height.. I honestly can’t even imagine what I’d look like at 120lbs and probably haven’t weighed that since middle school.
About 7 years ago, I lost 80 pounds through diet and exercise and pretty much maintained that loss for that entire time until last year. I had to have a full hysterectomy and was diagnosed with Hashimotos within the same month and between the thyroid issues and the hormone changes from abruptly entering menopause at 34 I gained back every single pound and hit my highest weight again (260). I have tried for months to eat at a calorie deficit but nothing helped, I just kept gaining! I have also remained active the entire time and I feel like my body composition is different this time around due to that. I often run 5 & 10ks (slowly but still lol) and I lift 3-4x a week.
I started Tirz in Feb and it’s changed everything for me. No more Hashimotos inflammation and the scale is finally going down!
This first picture is my original before and after. The pic on the left I was 260, the pic on the right I am 180. The second pics are most recent when I was at 260 again (I haven’t taken any new ones since I’ve lost weight).
What would you guys do? Should I be aiming to get down to 120lbs?
