Can someone explain why everyone thinks TS is ✨️so✨️ badass for re-recording her albums?

So I admit I don't know much about entertainment contract law but what I've always thought is this: when you sign a record deal with a label, they own your music, period. Right? What gives her the right to think she should own it? Is it simply because the label didn't give her the right to buy her music back before selling it to Scooter Braun, her archnemeis?

I've been so annoyed by this stanning for her about taking back her power. Honey girl you sold your soul for label representation back in the day. You don't get to just rewrite the law because you're a superstar now.

If she wasn't given the opportunity to buy back her music, then I can understand her position a bit more.

However regardless, this whole thing to me still just SMACKS of the selfish little girl we all know her to be who's going to take her toys and go home if she doesn't get her way. This is her MO.
