Buddy had the nicest stroke in the 3 point contest. Why can't he do that in the game?

His shot was just different from everyone else's. He really is a gifted shooter but I'm like damn if only he could do that in game. I don't know what prevents him from getting that hot because he is definitely more than capable. At least defenses have to respect his shot but whatever they know they're making sure he ain't going off.
